Andr's debut album, *shhh, it's under my bed*
After releasing a series of singles and experimental EPs, Andr (an-der) leads listeners into her private bedroom, unveiling the mysterious veil of her heart and presenting her long-hidden creations in the debut album, shhh, it's under my bed. The album, like a shattered mirror, captures different angles of herself—sometimes extreme, volatile, and uncontrollable; sometimes light and gentle, with a touch of innocence. These contradictory emotions tug at her heart, difficult to balance yet impossible to let go of, finally giving rise to a series of unique songs, like monsters within him dwelling in his bedroom, sharing his bed.
"The album title, "shhh, it's under my bed," not only echoes the childhood fear of monsters hiding under the bed that kept me awake, but also reflects the teenage habit of secretly storing cherished collectibles or private letters in shoeboxes under the bed. The space under the bed is like a private space where everyone keeps various emotions and secrets, just as this album reveals different facets of Andr's inner world." - Andr
Visually, the album features 11 monsters created by up-and-coming illustrator BANFF in collaboration with Andr, each representing one of the 11 songs and one of Andr's inner worlds. Golden Melody Award-winning chief visual designer Yang Shih-ching then designed the album, using a collage style to reflect Andr's unconventional musical personality. Furthermore, 11 different monster cards are randomly scattered throughout the physical album, symbolizing a private collection under my bed, perfectly embodying the theme – "shhh…it's under my bed".
