Nicolas Pablo Rivera Munoz, founded the "Boy Pablo" project in December 2015.

Munoz's breakout moment proved to be the widespread attention in 2017 towards the song and music video for "Everytime", originally uploaded to YouTube in May 2017, the video at first only had a few thousand views before it then went viral, garnering millions of views. Boy Pablo released the 6-song EP, Roy Pablo, in May 2017, which includes "Everytime".
