Although not technically their debut album - that honour goes to Mogwai Young Team - Mogwai’s Ten Rapid still stands as their first full-length work. Originally released in 1997, Ten Rapid collects singles and loose recordings the band had made during that year and the previous. By turns noisy, pretty, harsh, focussed and abstract, Ten Rapid goes a long way to setting out the stall for the band’s voracious instrumental rock sound.
