Athens, Georgia has always been a hot bed for creative independent music. There exists a spirit that can be hardly found anywhere else in the world. The band Pylon emerged in the late seventies and early eighties out of art school and forged this spirit with their new wave, post-punk jangle pop that would come to influence the the American pop and alternative scenes for decades to come. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of their first release, New West Record is proud to partner with the band for a reissue of their first 7" Cool / Dub.
