Returning after a period of quiet, Greek shoegaze quartet Sugar For The Pill expand their sound on LUV, a ten-track sophomore salutation blurring dream pop, indie and post-punk-revival edges. 'Anelia', 'Cherry Blossom', and the washed-out whoops of 'Komorebi' nod, in both the track titles and the real sonic content, to the whole gamut of bokehed rock influences from Slowdive, Ride, Interpol, Chameleons, and Lush; in theme, the record examines love in its multiple forms - romantic, platonic, nostalgic, and lost - and reflects on endings as incitements to new beginnings.
